LESSON: MATTER CHANGES

..........

Ready to do our Unit's song? Here we go...

.........

Now... Today's lesson:

MATTER CHANGES:

Matter can change in two ways... There are two types of changes in matter: Physical changes and Chemical changes. This next video gives an explanation of their characteristics:

Chemical changes are also called CHEMICAL REACTIONS. On chemical reactions we have two components:

REACTANTS: Are the substances involved in the reaction.
PRODUCTS: Is the result of the reaction.

In this video you can see an example of REACTANTS and PRODUCTS, with food:

Well, chemical changes are also called chemical reactions. Some examples of chemical reactions are: OXIDATION, COMBUSTION and FERMENTATION.

These videos explain them:

OXIDATION:

COMBUSTION:

FERMENTATION:

And now that we know about Physical Changes and Chemical Changes we can write down our lesson's summary (... that has 2 parts):

THIS IS YOUR LESSON'S SUMMARY:

YOUR HOMEWORK:

- You have to copy your summary in your notebook, and you have to study it. You also have to review our summary from our two last lessons, so you will remember everything that we are learning. Try to explain it to someone in your family... And if they are very busy... Pretend that you are explaining it to your classmates. 😉

KEEP UP YOUR GOOD WORK!
